Triggers & Actions

Triggers

Triggers are the starting point for an automated workflow. They act as the event that sets the entire Zap in motion. Triggers can come from various sources within the bot.space app on Zapier. Here's a deeper dive into the bot.space triggers:
Types of Triggers:
New Contact Created: It activates the Zap whenever a new contact is created.
New Incoming Message: It triggers the Zap when a new incoming message is received on a channel.
Example of Triggers: Here are some real-world examples of triggers you might use in Zaps:
A new customer contact is created (trigger) → Send a template message welcoming them to the channel (action)
A new message is received from a customer (trigger) → Send a template message acknowledging their text (action).

Actions

Actions are the automated responses that follow a trigger in a Zap (automated workflow). They are the tasks that Zapier performs within a connected app or service in response to the trigger event.
Here's a breakdown of actions:
Types of Actions:
Send Session Message: You can use this to send a session message to your customer.
Send Template Message: This action will send a pre-approved template to your customer.
Examples of Actions: Here are some real-world examples of actions you might use in Zaps:
A new customer sends a message (trigger) -> Send a session message 24-hr window (action).
A customer sends a message (trigger) -> Send a template message which can assist them with self help documents (action).
